A Chair that's High...

This is Caitlin's new high chair! I had looked up some online at Target so we went this weekend. The one I originally thought we should get had been recalled so that was a big NO! And I had looked at the reviews for this one and everyone that posted had wonderful things to say about it. My only drawback was that it is definitely for a girl and I'm thinking multi use and wanted neutral but it comes in many colors so if we need another color later in life then we can order it from their website I'm sure!

It's called Mulberry....oooohhh and aaaahhh!

I don't think she knew what to do when I put her in this today. She fussed at me when I was straping her in but then she realized she was getting food and I think she was ok!

Todays adventure was carrots. She eats them but I don't think she likes them as much as the squash. Definitely had some faces for me!!

But she kept opening up and eating more! Today was also the first time I used a spoon with her. I think she did fairly well! We have the nifty Nuby that Grandma Huhn gave her but I also wanted her to start getting used to utensils so I think we'll do half and half!

Duct Tape Hat Day!

We have a calendar at work that has some fun/crazy things to do for certain days in each month. Today just happened to be duct tape hat day so here are a few pictures of my duct tape hat! *say that 5 times fast*

It's all duct tape, no cardboard or paper. Pretty impressive what I do with my time huh!!

Just More Pictures

FEED ME!!!

Today was the first day we tried "solid" food for Caitlin. This first picture was not actually her initial reaction, the second picture of her wolfing it down was. Sean pushed the insides up for her and more than she was expecting came out which was when we got this reaction!

Her very first "real" food was squash. I think she liked it. She ate about 2 tablespoons full. Of course not all of it stayed down but at least she got a taste of it!

This was actually a picture taken after the middle thing was pushed up! She really did well with it, ate most of it and about the usual amount came back up! And of course she was still starving after her veggies so we fed her more milk and tried to put her to sleep which she was having none of it and was still hungry so she ate some more and finally fell asleep nursing. Hopefully she'll sleep well tonight!

Hip Hip Hooray!!

We're giving a high five for Dad, because we just found out he's a Staff Sergent Select!! Woo-hoo! The board finally released the names of those selected tonight! Congrats to Sean and our friend Sgt. Terry

Marine Corps Birthday Ball

These were the only pictures I could find to put on this post...we have yet to move all the pictures from the old computer over to the new one...one day it will happen!

Caitlin's Baptism

Sorry it's taken me so long to get this up. Here are some pictures from Cait's Baptism. She almost made it through the entire Mass before too...she made it about half way through. When the homily started she was done, and truth be told, I don't remember what it was about either...the Padre is a bit long winded! Anywho...she cried in the begining of the ceremony (she was hungry) we gave her a bottle and she was fine for the rest of it. My dad got video and I'm sure it's entertaining!!

Enjoy!

Big day at Cameron Park Zoo

My co-worker, Liz, asked me last week if Cait and I would like to go to the zoo with her two boys, Andrew who is 4 and Matthew who just turned 1. I told her we would love to go with them since Sean has drill this weekend and we didn't have any plans. Sean and I took her to show her off to my old co-workers last week but I didn't have my camera. I remembered it this time so this is our "Big day at Cameron Park Zoo!" You will notice a theme here!

We're getting ready to go. Got our Girraffe bib on and everything, I hope Jeffrey likes it!

Can't forget about our Elephant hat...well I guess it's still a little too big for her head so we just took pictures and then I put it in the diaper bag just incase it got too sunny while we were out...

This is what she looked like when we arrived at Cameron Park Zoo. Asleep but then she woke up for a few minutes while I was getting the stroller out and all her accessories...

Cait really likes the Monkey that swings by on her Safari mobile so I brought along the beany baby Monkey she got just incase she had a major melt down and needed to see something comforting.

Ahh..the Gibbons. How cute are they...

Caitlin was super impressed, can't ya tell!...

Yay, Rhinos. They had a lot of hay to eat...

Again, Cait was super impressed...

This was Cait in the middle of our trip, still super impressed...

Cait had to show off her Giraffe bib to the real Giraffe. I think the Girraffe was super impressed!...

Caitlin looking over the African Savanah at another Giraffe, Kudu, and I think there's a Geranuk in there somewhere...

Caitlin in the aquarium, look at all those fish...impressive...

Looking at more fish, hug that monkey Cait....

This was after I woke her up to feed her about noon. I took her out of the carseat and carried her the rest of the way in the zoo so thus the end of the super impressive Caitlin pictures (I only have two hands). We hope you enjoyed Cait's trip to the zoo! She did stay awake for about an hour after this, she was awake in the freshwater aquarium which she really loved watching those fish swim by and the turtles they have in with them.

By the way, in case you've lost track, Caitlin is three months old today! She is holding her head up very well now, she likes to blow bubbles at us, stick her tongue out at us and if you stick yours back out at her she tries to do it too. She doesn't like tummy time but will tolerate it for a little bit but she likes her swing, her bouncy seat and her playmat. More to come in the next month!!

Drill Weekend

Daddy's got drill this weekend and I got to wear his hat!! It's a little big for my head but I think it looks awful stylish with my cute overalls!! ooorah!

Sitting Up

Over the weekend I sat on the floor with Caitlin and sat her up and she stayed sitting for a little bit and would slump and I'd pick her back up and do it all over again. We got this bumbo from a friend of ours so yesteday I pulled it out of the closet and sat her in it and this is the progression over about 5 minutes.

Not doing too badly here!

Yay, sitting up!

That's it, I've had enough of this, get me outta here!

So anyway, she's doing really well. I figure 5 minutes was pretty good for her first extended sitting! Otherwise, she's still sleeping in the carseat because she has trouble, we think allergies, when sleeping flat and the doctor told us about a month ago to prop her up with something. The carseat was the obvious choice to us so we sit it in the crib and there she sleeps, very well most of the time!
I think she may be starting another growth spurt but who knows, maybe she's just a little hungrier this week! Hope you enjoy the photos!
