The birthday Girl

Cait did actually tear paper to open one of her birthday gifts on her birthday. It's a walking stroller from her Grandma and Great Aunt Martha!

Caitlin is perched upon the first birthday present given to her by the Cole's!

I think this face says it all!

Playing with Mommy's cell phone and Daddy's pen!

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Michelle and Gillian visit...whoo hoo!

Michelle and Gillian made the journey from Albuquerque to Waco, yet again! We were very excited to see them and spend some more much needed sister and Aunt time... Sean got his Uncle time in too! We were very happy that Mandy could come for Cait's birthday weekend and she stayed over so we got to visit more too! God bless my extended family, Dani is included except I don't have any pictures with her in it from the party so sorry! But that's about par! Here are some fun pictures from their stay!

Stir...stir...stir the soup!

The dueling naked babies just before bathtime!

Mandy trying to figure out how the "Cait"erpillar should look!

Michelle, well, being Michelle!

This is a picture from the party.. The adult is my coworker Liz and the two boys belong to her, Andrew (5) and Matthew (almost 2) and Cait (1) is at the table and Gillian (10mos) is behind her!

Cait's Cupcake Carnage

Caitlin turned ONE year old on December 7th! Can you believe it? I can't! We decided to have her party the following weekend! We later found out that Sean had Toys for Tots drill that weekend but the invites were already being given out so we kept it December 12th and had a family dinner with her the night before! My sister and Mandy came in to help bake the cupcakes! ( My mom and I were going to bake them together so since she wasn't going to be here it was great that they were!) We had a wonderful time. Michelle came up with the ideas, thank goodness, I was pretty out of it on the thought process! I knew we wanted cupcakes and my dad came up with the caterpillar idea but Michelle really took it from there so go Aunt Michelle! We love you! And thanks to everyone who came we love you all too!

Michelle made this Caterpillar with Caitlin's name on it, isn't it just adorable!

Michelle also made this Happy Birthday wall hanging! I think I'll add some bday pictures to it and hang it in her room!

Here is what Mandy and I decided her "Cait"erpillar should look like! I think it turned out really cute!

Here is the birthday girl in her cupcake bib from Great Aunt MaryAnn!

Yum! Can I have some Cait?

And into the cupcake she went! I'd say she ate over half of it and the other half ended up on her face!

Grandma wants some too!

The Birthday Girl!

On Monday, December 7th, little bitty turned ONE! We had a very busy day too! I had to go to work, we are being audited yay!, Sean had two finals that day and we were down to one car! We had a tire problem with the Saturn and needed to get a new one before it was safe to drive with Caitlin in it! So we took Cait to daycare, dropped me off at work and Sean went to his test! We had the Cole's come over for supper that night for a bday/send off meal (they're moving to Georgia at the end of the week, sad!) and had a great time visiting. Caitlin got to open her very first birthday present and found clothes inside but she was much more interested in the lid to the box they came in! We will be having her "party" on Saturday with some family and friends and cupcakes... so stay tuned, Cait's Cupcake Carnage is coming soon!! (Sean's words of course!).

I'll add a picture later too!!

Went to the doctor and the doctor said...

No more Caitlin jumping on the bed... Ok, not really but I had to finish the song! I got up this morning and called Dr. Orr's office, got Cait in at 9am. He looked at it and said that her toe should go back to normal on its own, with the aid of an antibiotic. Sean, who worked the night before and had no sleep, and I were relieved that there didn't have to be any drainage of her toe! We started the antibiotic tonight and we're keeping her on Motrin too.

She was the best little girl today. She was all smiles, hugs and kisses even though I know her toe was bothering her. She is such a good baby! She and I went out to dinner after Sean left for work and she was perfect for me. So anywho, I just wanted to update anyone who reads this so you know she's going to be obie kabie!

Angry Toe!

Cait did not sleep at all last night and I had no idea why well we found out today. I went to pick her up from daycare and brought her home. I asked Sean to look her over and see if he can tell something I couldn't. Well I took her socks off and this is what we found on her pinky toe! The other day she stubbed it somewhere and split the nail so I clipped it off and thought nothing of it until now! So here are some photos of her infected foot. Needless to say, we're calling the doctor in the morning and will be in for some fun drainage!

11 Months Down...

I can hardly belive that Caitlin was born 11 months ago! She continues to amaze us with what she learns and knows! She is crawling like a champ these days, I think she's racing the dogs sometimes! Needless to say, she gets where she's going fast! She is saying "da da da" and "ba ba ba" A LOT! And very loudly! She definitely wants to be the center of attention and if you haven't paid her much she'll get it! She will stand up on her own and walk along the couch. She has had spurts of standing without holding on but not for very long! She also will sit down to get a toy she's dropped instead of falling down. She has learned how to throw temper tantrums by arching her back and "thowing" herself back! Those are fun... she doesn't do this very often but when she does it's dramatic! She also likes to eat whatever we are eating so I buy very few baby food jars anymore. The daycare has some and we have some on hand just in case but the only baby food she's eaten recently is the fruit I mix into her oatmeal! Otherwise, what we cook she eats! And I don't think we've found anything that she just won't eat yet which is good!

For Sue!

These are for Sue who is currently on lock-down at Scott and White Hospital. They locked down S&W because they transported some of the people from Ft. Hood who were injured in todays shooting there. So here are some pictures of Caitlin for her viewing pleasure *and everyone elses* while she waits to be let out to go home!!

Happy Halloween!

We did not go Trick-or-treating tonight since Cait isn't eating candy just yet but I did take a few pictures of her Fairy costume we bought for both the Ren Fest and Halloween. Enjoy the photos!

This was the first picture I took today and I think it's the best. You can't get a better smile than this!

She loves to crawl for the camera so here's a shot of that!

And I'm not sure what this face was for but it's cute so here it is!

And here is our little Fairy in the front yard!

And here she is crawling on my leg!

We did go to a couple of neighbors to show off her costume because they had already come outside to get ready for the kiddos! They enjoyed her very much! Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!

Conserve Energy

Just some fun pictures from October. Her shirt says "Conserve energy... take a nap!"
Cait really likes to climb on the couch but you have to watch her closely because she likes to play fall off!

She'll learn how to get down one of these days! She's working really hard at learning!

Look a camera, I want it! I want it!

Hanging out playing with Dad!

Cedar Hill State Park

So after months of using our lunch break to go to the gym and run or ride the excercise bikes or going to the river to run on pavement we finally reached Cedar Hill State Park on October 25th, the site of the 2009 Muddy Buddy Dallas! The Muddy Buddy is a 10K that is designed for teams of 2 who tandemly ride and run the race. It is separated into 5 legs with obstacles inbetween each leg. I started the race running and Liz started biking then we switched every leg, so in leg 2 I was biking and she was running and so forth! We had a goal of doing it in an hour and a half *we're not the best runner/bikers in the world you see!* and we achieved our goal. We finished the race in 1:32:32 because once we crawled through the mud pit we thought we were done but no... NO! we had to run around the corner and go across the finish line so that added a minute or two! We are prepping for next year and let me tell you the pedicure that came Monday afternoon was well worth the race!!!

Here are some pictures to enjoy!

This was Liz and me after crawling through the mudpit!

This was us rounding the bend to the finish line!

This was what I looked like after my face was sprayed off!

Here we are cleaning off in the lake! After the freezing mudpit the water felt nice!

Clean clean clean it off... never did get it all out until I got home and showered!

Texas Renaissance Festival

Somewhere around October 17th we went to the Ren Fest with our friend Laurie! We had a great time. Cait made it all day, a whole 8 hours of being a happy kid. She was kept amused by all the things to look at and fell asleep fast on the way home... so did Laurie! Don't worry, I stayed awake but I wanted to sleep! Here are some pictures!

She started playing with his hair, it was braded down his back and she liked the harness straps too!

10 Months Old

Caitlin turned 10 months old on October 7th! She has accomplished a lot of things in the last month. She started eating the stage 3 Gerber foods, she started crawling more and learned she can crawl from one room to another, she learned how to feed herself (most of the time it makes it in her mouth but sometimes it falls to the floor!!), and she learned how to say "da da da da da!" Sean is so proud! She also has enough hair now to put in little pony knobs! We haven't done it often but every once-in-a-while we'll put it up! Here are a few pictures that we've taken recently!
